Newbery Quantum?
« on: January 11, 2016, 11:26:54 AM »

Just seen this on Matt Machan's twitter feed, looks rather nice but doesn't appear on any of the Newbery pages. Maybe a one off range?

Wouldn't mind getting myself one of them, for sure! what do you all think?

Quantum are his management, so it's just one of their stickers. Still not sure what range the bat is though!

I know but the quantum looks a part of that bottom sticker. Not sure that he would stick his management and back of bat sponsor on the same bat   ??? If they made it commercially available I reckon I'd be tempted. Beautiful white and black stickers!!

I must say the new season Merlin looks very tasty. Be interesting to see more of the Quantum.

Pro-direct have flashed this little beauty up on their website, I think it could be a 2016 season purchase for me, looks so classy! Not got any info on it other than being an LE? bit still:

Think "handmade" on the label might be pushing it a bit, unless it's in very small quantities.

TK must program the CNC machine, then load the bats into it "by hand"  ;)

I saw some unfinished Quantum shape bats today, duck bill toe and quite concaved.

During my visit to Newbery last week I saw around 30 of these bats which were going to be shipped to Pro Direct, i agree with wayward_hayward that these bats are quite concaved to keep the weight down. I prefer Merlin/Kudos2 if i had to decide between Quantum and Merlin/Kudos2

I saw pro direct are sneakily offering a replica of matt machan's bat for £500 so i assume that they're doing that for those who don't fancy paying £300 for the concaved variety but deem the extra to be worth it  ;)
