Anyone else find it amusing when smith was mic-ed up and was being a complete idiot with the commentators. All well and good doing it in the BBL but think he cost his team the game by getting distracted. 

Believe DRS makes a bigger difference in T20's given how many appeals/events there are, just stupid that it's not going to be there in the WC.

Khawaja not good enough to make it in this line up still? Probably the Aussies second best player of spin.

Head seems to have borrowed his "bowling" action from botha.

I don't really need to know or care about your age @gaurav23 was just trying to make a point about the way this was going. As for how this started and where it was going doesn't mean the response needs to be made in the same tone. Each to their own, if thats your preferred method to respond in a negative situation then good luck to you.

BTW I am not a Gandhian, I don't like the man one bit, but I do believe there are many ways to handle a situation and respond. Eye for an eye doesn't work all the time.

Smith on the mic as a batsman is an absolute no no for me. Causes too much distraction.  OK if the fielders are mic'ed up. But not someone who is batting. In fact I would love to listen from the fielders - that would give us a deeper insight. But not for a batsman or a bowler in my opinion.

I'm pretty certain that after this incident - no batsman will mic'up in the near future- at least in international cricket !

On a separate note, I think the BCCI (note, I said BCCI, not India) deserves A LOT more cr*p and ridicule for refusing DRS.

There really is no "principle" at stake here and they (again, I refer to the a****es at BCCI, not the general India public) are just being c**ts. There surely is some sort of financial incentive for them to be so stubborn (local broadcasters maybe worried about it? Just speculating).

The "DRS is not perfect" argument is so stupid on so many levels - human umpires are "not perfect" either...so shall we get rid of them too? What great principle is really at stake here??? Come on, India, rise up against your cricket board and tell them to get their act together!!

I'm agreeing with most of your points, however I still believe the main issue that the BCCI has with the DRS is the margin of error calculations and the prediction element of it.

The BCCI controls everyone, even the commentators. This is why Ian Chappell refused to commentate in India. There were a couple of articles on this. Nobody dare speak against their stated policies.

Why is it a no no? We know t20's aren't serious and are supposed to be then 'entertainment' format so why not have players mic'd up? I actually thought it was decent Warner and smith did it, kudos to them. Kohli is a over rated turd so tbh, he gobs off anytime, just ignore him. Petulant child
