why should I wait before I can buy from forum members
« on: January 26, 2016, 04:06:43 PM »

Just wondering ...why I should wait for my 150th post to buy stuff from forum members (like used bats etc)
fyi... I don't comment or post much but, I spend (No Swearing Please) load of time browsing this forum :)
Thanks.

Think it's probably explained in a topic somewhere, but generally my grasp is that the forum is intended as an information point as opposed to an alternative to buy/sell sites.

The "race to 150 posts" is fairly common with members not contributing to the forum with anything meaningful.

there were cases people getting duped by newer forum members. Search for 2011-2013 threads and you'll find a few such cases.

As said before, it has been discussed and the process decided.
We understand that there will be some people that are trustworthy and honest and do not post a lot! But we cannot make exceptions for anyone.
Apologies and I'm sure that you are totally trustworthy! But I'm afraid those are the rules that have been decided for too many reasons to discuss in detail.
So this topic is being locked.
