I think ODIs should be played on pitches on this.. to change it up a bit.

Whilst I'd love to see hales, Roy, buttler and co try and hit through the line and fail that's not what odi's are about. 2020/50 over are to see people biffing. Leave these wickets for tests and test batting.

Can't believe I said keep flat tracks in odi's... Urgh

Pretty poor batting from the Kiwis. Loose strokes from Latham and King Kane. McCullum looked a bit on edge. Guptill's technique just isn't good enough for Test cricket.

The trundle attack has done too shabbily. Hazlewood has bagged three but Siddle was my pick for the opening session. Jackson Bird looked pretty ordinary and might well have to wait another 30 months to get a 5th Test cap...

Watling is decent too

Good test so far, ball isn't doing that much.. Certainly this is what test matches should be like, dig in, work for your runs.

Couple of poor shots and technical issues has been the downfall so no blame on the wicket, if it doesn't last five days it's the players lack of ability not the wicket. Aus hardly have pace so shouldn't cause too many sues if you play right
Dane villas looked pretty good to me also.

Nz did well to get to 183. Good start with the ball getting rid of both openers.

Yeah cheers worse umpiring decision I have seen since Buknor retired. How on earth does an umpire in this day in age get that so wrong.
