Full kit badger
« on: February 13, 2016, 07:39:31 PM »

Those who may or may not know me
Know I do enjoy using either one band or many brands together
But this year I'm thinking of using one band only. Sacrilege I know for many on here but I'm torn between which way to go.

From the big brands from spending time at owzat cricket my local shop,
I'm not overly keen on the kook kit this season or the gm kit either.
I do like the grays select and prestige bats plus the soft to match them aswell.
Newbury look good but never used there kit before,
New balance do interest me but would feel like a band wagon jumper in having their kit,

As for custom.
H4l is my preference loving the look of the warbird and also the softs too.

Is anyone else going full kit one brand.

Yep, I've gone all out H4L.

Warbird
Devil
Last years NV pads
Last years NV pro gloves
Last years NV Classic gloves
This year's tempo stand up bag.

Sad I know, but I couldn't resist matching it all up, if I had bought this year's it would have been the custom softs plus a pair of the g1 gloves I like them a lot, still may get some TBH...

I almost always use full kit, i had planned on going for Gray Nicolls this season but, for a few reasons I won't bore you with, I changed my mind on that. I am planning to use H4L for the 2016 season. I'm visiting Matt to buy my stash in Monday  :D

When I said I almost always use full kit, I can just about keep my OCD happy by using matching softs and a blank bat, or brandless softs. A compromise I came to a couple of seasons ago was to use brandless pads, with my gloves matching the brand of my bat. It's almost a full time job being an image conscious OCD kit badger...  :-[

Yep, always use full kit as well. Gone for Focus Cricket for 2016 after picking up a couple of lovely black labels from Jake at Vitas. Softs are top notch, some of the best I have had. Will have the break the single brand when I use my GN though

Full Red Ink kit this year.  Very impressed.  Top of the range quality for half the cost of the big brands.

Isn't that just jumping on a different band wagon?
Always a bit dubious of people who wear full kit.

Afraid I broke with my 4 year tradition (so my entire batting life) in 2015 and use the same 'brand' pads/gloves but they are different to the bat. Still, the softs are as good as anything I've seen and I get 4 pairs of gloves for the price of one normal pair.. Can't knock it

I've gone full 2015 GM for this season with the exception of my Mongoose mmi3 and my wet weather bat (blank) ! I much prefer the 2015 GM to the 2016 apart from the Mana!

I agree, although the pro equipment tweeted recently looks brilliant.

There are some good offers on flea bay at the moment for last year's gm kit
