Review Moonwalkr Thigh pad set
« on: February 26, 2016, 07:30:16 PM »

first up price 24.99

I use remfry and have done for 6 or 7 years can find no fault with them no fault at all.
Before that i had a set of obo p1 for a season or two which where good but bulky.
Strettons i have had and think there right up there bit fiddly for me and no fixed point which some like and some don't.

Now got a set of these for trials really and you know what if your after a mid range protection and comfort these are really not that bad at all.

The soft feel of the product is really good the straps a tad stiff compared with others but you get the feeling of security in them. The protection is of a decent level i do not know what level the inner fiber board is but suspect it would sit somewhere from p1 to p2 level.

Nice and stiff where they need to be but supple on the hip protector bit.

There not overly thick maybe double stretton or remfry

They come in a decent bag too it is a nice little extra.

So if your looking for a bargain thigh pad set a bit different theres are the ones they have a nice hip protector.

Will say ask for a bigger size if your above a 34 inch waist as there a bit of a tight squeeze.

overall a decent product at a ok price.

i used a pair last season and loved them.

from looking at the pictures i think mine were slightly different as the main part of the thigh pad were in a couple of pieces to help it fit to the leg tighter.

overall i loved them and highly recommend them

Do they not show through under your whites a lot?

I quite like the look of them, and decent for that price. My only concern is as mentioned above, showing up through whites, this is whats stopped me getting some before

I think they look awesome. Not all about looks though. Never really worn thigh pads so if I decide to get some I'm going to have to look for a comfy set but also not a bulky set. These may do

I didn't notice then myself showing through my whites.

Didn't get any comments even about it so I guess it wasn't a problem.

The only issue ive had is some of the stitching has come apart

Nice. Was contemplating between Kook Pro thigh guard and Moonwalkr. Seems like Moonwalkr may not be a bad choice considering my hip size.

Just ordered a set off the back of this review.

Will be in addition to a set of stretton fox that I got for Christmas.

I find the strettons work better next to skin so in nets etc not as perfect.

Well after a month of using them and trying a lignum vitea mallet on the. I can honestly say I'm impressed very impressed indeed.

Maybe time to rest the Remfry maybe the mallet test did not feel a thing and the hip protector on these are very flexible yet protection is top class been hit at mid 70 not a feel

Overall price and quality is top class

I'll concur with @Giraffe208 - if you have any in a size suitable for a marginally 'larger' waist then I'll take a set from you Tom @Ayrtek
