What's causing the panic here? Is it that a few have dropped out or the new 12 I clock start?

Haven't dropped out, so that's 9 and possibly me if my arm comes alive.

So why the need to cancel? Plenty players still there. But as hanif says, if anyone on that list is dropping out then let us now. Cheers

I am confirmed - thanks for organising.

Chris - I've given myself tennis elbow just knocking in a couple of bats with my new LV mallet - 1kg (Samson, from Elviar) which is wicked but need to get stronger! In any case, will teach me to play with strong top hand! I reckon you should come if you can at all. Also have healing broken toe.

That's what you get for being 38 trying to keep up with 18 year olds.

Excellent stuff, so looks like we are set for a decent turn out, I have booked a lane from 12-2 hopefully we will all survive that. SRH take it easy going to be trying out my new bat, not had time to fully knock it in. I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

My first forum event - really good to participate and put faces to names.

SRH had some lovely bats and can use them quite well too. Not too shabby with the ball either!

Good to meet Ryan and Simmy.

And Hanif and everyone else - much more so than ogling bats, playing some cricket was great.

If all our chat about getting an unofficial forum game organised results in us finding a venue I think we would have a really good game, even with me as weakest link.

It was a very enjoyable net today, and was nice meeting everyone. A preseason friendly would be great if it could be arranged. Alternatively another net before the season starts?

Forgot to mention that Hanif also knows one end of a bat from another.

Pretty militiary with line and length from left arm over also.

Good to play and talk about cricket first and play with each other's wood second (double entendre intended).
