I made a couple out of scrap wood in woodwork for some fun

They were shocking, apart from weighing about 5 pounds the vibrations were horrible as they had no proper handle.

I would love to have a go at making a real cricket bat but i think it would be quite expensive.

Fusion Sports sell part made bats that budding batmakers can then finish!
You can get them at different stages depending on how much work you want to do on it!

They range from �60 - �80 for a level 2 cleft.

Might not make any friends with customs tryin to import wood to Aus $:-\$ but the idea from fusion is a good'un.

You guys have it good over in England. IMO the best bats are English companies who dont retail in Aus (e.g Salix, Newberry).
