Who makes Virat Kohli's bats?

G'day everyone,

Recently on the news, I saw a clip of Virat Kohli giving a bat to M. Amir.  But I noticed the bat didn't have the MRF stickers on it.



Interesting profile shape too!

On further digging, I have noticed most of the bats he has been using in 2015 and 2016 have the MRF stickers on the front and back and are usually blank on the sides - missing the MRF logo.



Would love to find out who makes his bats.

Its definitely SS. Dhawan, Rohit, Kohli, Dhoni are the guys who use SS made bats with contract stickers like MRF, Ceat, Spartan etc...

If you can get your hands on a RNS pro bat you will see why they make for some of the big boys.

I had one, went like a gun, until it disintegrated!

To say the pressing on some pro bats is 'soft' would be a complete understatement!

Last time I have seen in RNS factory personally, about 5 years back all the Reebok and MRF Retail bats are made by RNS. Also some lower grade MRF's by KG. As far as players are concerned, too many bat makers in the picture. Virat used to play with BDM when he was  playing Under 19. So, don't count out BDM to give him blank bats to sticker them up as MRF.

He doesn't have any specific supplier, he has got his bats from SS, SG, RNS, BAS, BDM, CA and many other suppliers in India/Pakistan. He just has a fixed profile and he gets his bats made by guys and whatever he likes, he keeps and rest of them are sold at various places. I have also heard that he has started using semi-oval and tapered handle (thicker at the bottom than thinner at the top) though he is a very wristy player.

All the professional Indian players including Sachin and Dhoni....... have/had fixed profiles and they just got those profile bats made by different suppliers (though BAS was Sachin's favorite towards the later part of his career). There are only a few cricketers who have stuck to one supplier (e.g. I have heard that Rahane buys his bats only from PR - a small supplier from Meerut or Sehwag and Dravid mostly used SG in later parts of their careers).

The picture at the top and during the recent test it looked like his bats had hardly any bow to them. With his rumoured switch away from MRF to possibly new balance is it possible that they are made in the uk now?

Agree with @sachin200 . He gets his bats from all manufacturers. They test it out in nets and keep the ones they like.
