its all about muscle memory and training exact muscles needed for that individual batting as we dont all play shots the same way, so a standard work out to train up these muscles and serve all would be pointless as you might use a different muscle to somebosy else while playing the same shot, the best way to do that is to use a weighted item, like the bat we have seen on this topic... many golfers use weighted clubs in training aswell for the same purpose

Surely when you use your 2lb..... match bat you would get through the shots far too early if your used to a 3lb.... monster?

I think with laminates the idea is that you can have a hard layer over the top of an unpressed layer increasing the rebound.

Ok - as requested....another CJI Fatso big boy coming up!
Not as big as Craigs! as 60mm edges are just mental. But have given a comparison for the Fatso here!
I wanted to give a comparison against a meaty bat, so that you could see the difference. I therefore used a CA8000 plus (stickers removed and replaced by Genuine Slaz Oz ones)
Enjoy - for you fat lovers out there!  ;)

And a couple more to start the new year with some fleshy willow!!!!

The CJI weighs in at around 3lb 5/6oz
The CA (Slaz) weighs in at 2lb 9/10oz

Edges on CJI - 55mm: Edges on CA - 35mm+

The CJI is a heavy beast but luckily I am 17 stone and not fat! So it doesn't feel massively heavy for me.
And the pick-up is actually prettt good!
I think that if anywhere on the blade connects to a ball, then the ball will be gone!

hard layer on top, so on impact the ball looses less energy so rebounds faster.  soft layer underneath to obtain the trampoline effect.  putting them together you get less energy loss and more ping!!

The Slaz Oz (CA 8000 plus) is a really nice bat! But spoilt by the damn CA stickers!!
The nice Slaz Oz stickers were from GCCC, so never cheap! But I got the bat for under £80, so all in all - a very nice grade 1 with lush stickers, and high ping-o-meter reading for around £100!
Not sure what stickers to put on the CJI bat, as I think the standard CJI stickers look too fussy!!
I was thinking get some surfer stickers to customise the bat, as I will use it as more of a training bat anyway?

That is a monster Pete!
Would love to have a go with a bat like that.
I think bats look a bit silly when they have rediculous size edges...
