Yes that's what I am considering only played 3 matches for this club thought about contacting my old team we won the division 3 out of the last 4 seasons they only had 8 players last saturday only left due travelling.

Sounds like it would be worth the travel to avoid being treated like sh*t mate.
If you're putting an effort in off the pitch you don't deserve that.

Even if they just sit being ignored by the captains at selection meetings, most "big clubs" will have one

Day one of a two day game, nice 'breezy' 179* at stumps this evening after batting all day.. Hopefully skipper has no interest in winning and i get more batting tomorrow

I may well be wrong mate, that's just my understanding of it.

I only heard it mentioned because our "chairman of selectors" wanted to change his title to "director of cricket" but he wasn't allowed to because of something to do with Clubmark.

We are club mark and don't have a chairmen of selectors. 3 skippers just work together.

A month ago I'd have obliged, now.. Couldn't give too hoots what you think. Work games aren't on play cricket anyway for various reasons. The few who know me will be able to guess why.

As a bowling allrounder i got a decent start in the first two 40 overs matches. Got 2/24 & 2/19 respectively in 2 matches but struggled with the bat. Trying to adjust to slow pitches after practicing on fast nets surfaces.

Every batsman has the same issue at the start of the year. We should have indoor nets that are slow and low

We've got a director of cricket too, (No Swearing Please) knows why - he does run the club but doesn't have anything to do with selection etc! If you've only played 3 games for them then it's not good signs, you'd hope a club would treat new players better than that!
