I think if youve played for one country you shouldn't be allowed to go play for another. I will not support him in anything if he does play for SA, i know that wont matter to anyone but i think its outrageous!

I have a south African wife so can enjoy him playing at the highest level again.
Pretty sure SA won't pick him though.

Depends.. If you're picking the best players at the time then sure.. He'd sit in still in a fair few formats..

I forgot, we have a few ecb lovers around who lap their party line and 'get behind the boys' trick.

All depends on your criteria.. Is Bairstow a better batsmen?? Is Taylor?? Is hales?

Absolutely on pure talent and ability he'd still be involved across the formats but it's been made abundantly clear his international for England at least is over, particularly of Strauss has anything to do with it. I'm just not sure he's accepted this.

Anyway, apologies for hijacking the thread with yet more KP guff.

I feel for KP - he was a sensational batsman to watch at the international Test level. He hasn't emerged as the absolutely best-of-the-best T-20 batsman in the international premier league circuit though. He shouldn't be floating ideas of playing for SA, he'd be 37 by then and may have an equally unceremonious end to his international career. His best bet is to continue to grow in the international T-20 circuit with utmost professionalism and hope that Andrew Strauss lets him back in England colors.

As above, he'll never play but it's down to politics not talent. The fact politics is a part of it says more about the ecb and the fans who blindly follow the ecb than anything else.

Still, no amount of forum posts, Twitter, petitions or kp scoring run after run will change anything.

Of course you are both right, he will never play for England again, and apologies for anyone who is miffed the thread is slightly off subject, it's not deliberate.....
There are a lot of fans who think he should still be playing, and there's a lot of us  fans who think he should'nt and are really really happy with the current England side.
I've followed England since i was about 13 and that's a long time ago, and I'm optimistic we are getting where we want to be and in a good position with other players in the wings...having a good coach helps and we have two in farbrace and Bayliss-bringing on and developing young talent.

KP actually does have more of a chance playing for SA. If you think about it SA have had a few top class players retire at the same time.
The idea of Pieterson playing for them is not as daft as it may seem
And he would not be the only player to play for two Countries...

Just my opinion on it  :)

Am i the only one who feels KP is desperate ? He is not going to get into either England or SA team. I am quite sure most of them consider him as a T20 specialist now. That's all he is going to get ...

On the sponsorship note, i think SS is likely to snap him up for this IPL season. Don't know who will sponsor him in the long run ...
