That Sunday feeling.
« on: April 24, 2016, 08:49:41 AM »

Is there anyone else who feels like absolute death this morning? Feel like I've been hit by a train.

Anyone know the best cure for this aches and pains? I'm thinking a Maccys Breakfast personally.

Yep feel my age today

Went straight from cricket (actually missed last 16 overs) to a Peter Kay dancathon

Not thinking it was the best idea now

Nope, feel good! Which is probably a good thing as I play cricket again in 3 and a half hours!

Reckon I'll feel it at some point today and definately tomorrow.

Work means that Sunday feeling will have to wait for a while for me! First midweek game in a couple of weeks and a Sunday game the day after the last game of the football season though means I will be having the Wednesday and Monday feelings in the coming weeks! I'm dreading it!

Yep stiff, sore, generally battered! When your on your way to being 40 and a 13 over spell doesn't bowd well! Being bloody freezing yesterday didn't help although I did bat in a Beenie!

I've also been and taken my little girl swimming this morning which has loosened me up a bit

Bit stiff in the back due to the cold wind and sweat rest is probably the best cure.

Standard DOMS for me, fielding first definitely helped.

First game of last year we batted first, few over enthusiastic set offs for the 'quick' singles and the next day I woke up with real pain in my quads. Took out both of my thighs for a good part of 4 weeks although didn't help trying to force the recovery.

Well, I shall call yesterday's game - 'Slimming World' - as 40 overs lumbering around in the field like a demented Oxen, plus two diving stops, has persuaded me I need to drop 2 stone ASAP!

I had the same yesterday
Feeling decidedly old! Today, ha
Bout time I knuckled down and shed the two or three stone of lard I've accrued around my waist
Gotta give my knees an easier time if I can get my weight down

On a very positive note tho, I through one in for a run out with no shoulder pain, a first for a few years
Hopefully once I sort the golfers elbow, I'll be throwing Pain free.

And even tho it was freezing, felt so good to be out playing cricket

Surely with all the fielding and batting you'll need doing this season it would be beneficial not to lose any weight as you'll need those energy stores later in the season.
You'd hate to run out of energy in the when grinding out a match winning 17!

Sadly, I am not capable of 'grinding out' anything - not even a poorly-executed lap dance :)
