Roy on course to get the highest ODI innings by an England player.

TIL Strauss had 3x scores of 150+

And just to think, as recently as the South Africa series people were calling for Roy to be axed...

Were they?

Also Maharoof can do one, you look like a bellend when you stop to mankad someone when he's in their crease and hasn't gone anywhere

Roy's batting is a delight to watch ... he might have missed eng's personal best record by 5 runs but i am sure this dude is going to whack a 200 or something against someone for sure !

This tosh about 'new England', the two series against the premier ODI sides(Australia and South Africa) England lost. Whilst both Australia and South Africa where undermanned.

Jason Roy's found his level at ODI cricket, Sri Lanka who's bowling attack isn't too dissimilar to a division 2 Mickey Mouse attack...

He is kinda right though, SL ARE VERY POOR, so you can't take anything from this series. It is like men vs boys

They may be rubbish but we still need to beat them because they are still in the tournaments
Otherwise we will have the same problem as the football team
The mentality of "on this will be easy, they're only Iceland"
Look how that turned out

exactly....for those of us who have been watching England for a long time, we couldn't even beat the average teams.England were too arrogant for too long, no one has a divine right to win anything.

I'm really exited about this new one day team, we are playing a great style of cricket. SL are not the best true, but if you cannot beat these teams we will never compete with the better ones.

the England football team I can only presume, thought they would beat the minnows...again an arrogance not backed up by results. We have to go back to '96 for the last time we looked like we could win a major tournament.

Runs are runs, wins are wins no matter the opposition. If they are good enough to play international cricket then no excuses.
In agreement that this SL team is probably the worst team they've ever had
