Paddes shorts vs thigh pads
« on: May 25, 2016, 06:53:52 PM »

Hi Guys,

I have tried kook shorts and they were ok. What do you think of them vs thigh pad combos.

Are there any compression  padded shorts, I reckon  they will be a hit.

I have seen some martial arts padded shorts and thinking of giving them a try.

thoughts welcome

I started out with Kook shorts, they were OK but I felt they moved around during play and I was forever adjusting them.

So I moved to Aero P1's and have been happy ever since, great coverage and protection for my standard.

I'd love a pair of custom Stretton's, but I'm really happy with the P1's for now. I've also heard that Stretton's can be difficult to get on with at first whilst shaping and then keeping them in place. The X strap seems to have cured the problem but I like the idea of the all in one. If they did Stretton all-in-one's id be all over it!

I use strettons and aero batting shorts. This is the best combo I have found.

I have had aero P1 P2, stretton and recently acquired a gn omega 360 xrd. I have found all of them too uncomfortable  and I am forever adjusting  them. I am a fidgety  person anyway so it is not always gears fault.

Just need a set which works so I can focus on just batting.

It's a few years since I last used the shorts, but I recall having to replace them several times a season as the elastic would just die.

I've used Aero P1s and P2s, Stretton Foxes, SS Players and GN test and omega thigh guard sets over the past few seasons. I found myself keep going back the the Aero P2s, yet pining for my Strettons back, I now have a set of each so I'm happy!

tend to agree P2 have been the best  fit so far..gn omega  has the best material  where it goes around  waist..

Being a fatty I found the Omega's just didn't for right round my waist. I prefer something adjustable round my bellies which is probably why I have so much love for the P2s
