Bag for a keeper
« on: May 26, 2016, 07:29:24 PM »

Evening,

Being a keeper, im the guy no one wants to pick up as i need half a boot to get my bag in.

Over the last few years i have been using a salix allkit which is the ideal size. I love the three wheels and the two bat pockets. Sadly i am on my second and it has ripped in exactly the same place, along the zip. Salix replaced the first for cost after it only lasted a season and a half and the second has done the same about a year on.

I am looking for a replacement, i have reviewed a few topics on here and a couple of ijc videos on youtube (very thorough) and i am looking for some feedback from guys who have owned bags for a period of time. I really hate lugging my kit around so i want wheels and also need two bat pockets. I am not massively organised so i dont want something with a snug fit so i have to spend time packing in a certain way, just wanna lob batting and keeper pads, both helmets and the usual stuff in without much fuss. Ive seen a couple that have seperate compartments which look useful but i dont know how good that is in practice.

Anyone got experience of using a bag for a while and can still recommend. Cost isnt really an issue and i am looking for quality rather than best value for money.

Cheers

Dave

Red Ink wheelie or duffle would work. I keep and use the wheelie and I've got a couple of mates who use the duffle. There's a review on here of how much you can fit in the duffle. It's a lot so shouldn't have any issues as a keeper

Mate my B&S duffle is absolutely quality. I fit all my batting and keeping kit in it, including two helmets, with space to probably fit my whites in two - but of course I have another bag for that anyway. Hands down the best choice.
