The Special One
« on: May 28, 2016, 01:08:55 PM »

The bats that Gary has in at the moment are phenomenal. I would strongly recommend anyone to go and have look at some of the monsters he has in. This stick was one of the special ones that Gary ordered and crikey it is an absolute incredible stick. The shape is similar to that of a Newbury Blitz, with a blade slightly shorter than that of a Warbird, and the finishing is remarkable. It pings like a rocket and I can't wait to get into the nets once my finger heals to start playing it in. Will give a few specs and then will let the pictures say the rest. This bat has gone straight to my number 1 spot and I have a feeling it will stay there for a very long time indeed.

Weight: 2.12.0
Grains: 17
Edge: 46mm
Spine: 57mm
Concaving: Slight, not overly significant
Handle: Semi-oval
Ping: Ridiculously good

Unreal stuff coming from B&S this season.

Tbh I thought this thread was going to be about Jose Mourinhos appointment at Manchester United
Then again I forgot other sports don't exist on here

Gary knows Jose personally and he's using B&S kit in the London leagues this year apparently. Left arm chinaman I've heard.

Just to put this stick in comparison with a normal length blade - it's an inch shorter than my Fireflight which allows it to be so big. Was after a bat with a shorter blade and this is perfect.

There's a lot of Heartwood on both of those @Sivlar13 , does it effect the performance in anyway?

I wouldn't say so at all mate, they both ping incredibly well. As the heartwood is slightly stronger it means when I mistime the slog to cow, it may just creep over the infield haha

Some serious willow coming from B&S this season, wouldn't mind a nice oval handled blade, does anyone know if there are any oval handled B&S bats or are they all semi oval ?

I think they're all semi-oval handles mate, as a hater of round handles I was a bit sceptical at first, but have found them to fit in my hands really well.
