Just store your chest guard next to your vagina guard.

Didn't get it.

Sounds like you're getting more than a bit carried away there Cam, spare sunglasses lenses? Never understood the need to take a grip cone to a game, if your bat grip's alright when you leave in the morning it'll make it through the game in one piece!

The lenses have a slot in the hard case that comes with Oakley's so just live in there.
As for the grip cone it's for the cretins who turn up with an ungripped bat (you'd be surprised) and nobody seems to know how to apply a grip these days...

why would you carry:
1.net bat/ gloves to a game?
2. spare helmet padding to game/nets? surely you can get through a game even if something goes wrong with them.
3. You don't need more than one spare grip in your kit.

I check my kit during the week and replace stuff as needed to avoid carrying all the spare stuff.

1. Basically because I'm too lazy to take stuff in and out of my bag for matches and nets, everything gets put in there and left!
2. If it's in my bag I know where it is should I need it.
3. So what happens when 3 teammates all want to buy a grip on the same day if I only have 1?

As long as I have space in my kit for cold beer I don't really care how much is in the kit. It got tight early last season, so i bought a bigger bag.

Match bat and cover
Net Bat
Match pads
second pair of pads
P2 Strippers
Adidas Raw Helmet
Two pairs of gloves I rotate
inners
Towel
Box
Spikes
Extra Socks
Small Medical kit
Tiger balm
Asthma puffer
Change bag
Water bottle
Drum roll....beer in cooler bag on match day

My Bag:

Match Bat
Reserve Bat
P1 Strippers
Pads
Gloves
Spare Gloves
Spare Gloves (Yes another pair)
Spare Gloves (Yes, a third pair spares)

Adidas Vector Spikes
Adidas SL22 Spikes
Box 1
Box 2 (Why I have two I do not know... gained one for sniffing purposes and never gave back I guess... ;) )
Helmet
Grip Cone
Grips
ProPlus
Elastoplast
Vortex Screaming Rocket thing (throw it and it whistles)
Softball / Cards (great for the rain effected games)

Clothing Bag
 - Shirt
 - Shirt
 - Trousers
 - Trousers
 - Sleeveless Jumper
 - Sleeved Jumper
 - Skins
 - Boxers
 - Spare Boxers (incase anyone is too quick and there is a skid-mark deposited)
 - More Socks
 - Flip Flops (Crucial for the hot days)
 - Beer Money

Highlighted in red is the stuff I probably do not need. Started out thinking it was a lot worse. We must all remember, volume of kit can make up for lack of talent.

I don't know why anyone would take spare grips and a grip cone to a game - mind you I've seen guys with knocking in mallets in their bags.

Our 2's captain decided to knock in a bat on match day...
Whilst we were batting. He was politely not very politely told to stop.

I take 2/3 spare grips of different colour to matches just in case a fancy a change of colour that day...

agreed...it applies to all spare stuff in the kit. Especially, I would assume a CBF member to check and recheck his kit before the game to make sure everything is OK.
I personally pack my kit according to my needs and not for others in the team.

Pre-supernova I had everything with me.. Post-Supernova, its very basic.

3 bats (ofcourse)
Matchgloves
Matchgloves post 50 runs (hardly worn)
Matchgloves post 100 runs (hardly worn)

Box
Dual thigh
Sidearm for warming guys up
5-10 balls of various shine
1 Kookaburra Turf - for a pregame bowl
Batting Shoes
Bowling boots
Extra spikes
Helmet
Pads

And ofc the uniform + toiletries..

Usually bring 1-5 new bats for selling as well, as I tend to buy and sell a lot.. (not in my bag though)

My grips and cone are in my bag 1) because my bag is massive and need to fill it with something 2) all my cricket crap is in 1 place 3) ive seen plenty of herberts with piss poor grip application!!!

As mentioned - a lot of people can't apply a grip! Amazing how many beers you can accumulate off people when they are desperate... ;)

I'd kind of assumed that the club kit bag would be the home for a grip cone - but doubtless some light fingered soul would borrow it and not return it  :o

We don't have a club kit bag because of the help yourself brigade emptying it...

I never knew how to do it properly until a month or 2 ago when I was watching a Julian Millichamp video where he made it look easy as piss!!
