Both the returnees performed quite well. Pollard especially played a mature inning to get the windies over the line.

Delighted to see some of the Windies global stars back in the line up. Sunil Narine is undeniably their premier spinner and when he's on sound, he's a formidable opponent. Kieron Pollard now approaching his peak at 29, finally seems to be able to play the role of a senior player.

If the pitches remain like this Narine could run riot as neither Australia or South Africa have much clue against high class spin bowling.

With regards to the like of Gayle, DJ Bravo, Russell, Sammy and DR Smith missing out. Firstly of the five I only see Gayle, Bravo and Russell as being seriously contenders. Smith and Sammy aren't going to displace Brathwaite and Holder. Gayle and Bravo could both open. Russell only gets a place if Samuels is axed, but I've never seen an international side select 6/7 all rounders and only 2 specialist batsmen.

Also will be interesting to see whether Narine will be around for the 4 Test series against India, he could cause them serious problems.

West Indies crumbled like a deck of cards in the second match of the tri series. 118 all out. The returning Mitchell Starc bagged a couple and he was up near 150kph - not too shabby considering he's been on the shelf for 7 months. 3 wickets apiece for Lyon and Zampa.

Tri Series moved on to St Kitts for the second round of matches.

Australia played South Africa on a pitch with was considerably better for batting than Guyana.

David Warner breezed to his 6th ODI hundred and it was a mighty fine one. He's finally getting his ODI record up you scratch. Warner is without question the best opener in world cricket. Steven Smith and Usman Khawaja both chipped in with fifties. Australia ended up on 6/288, which should've been a whole lot better but the innings stumbled after Warner got out and the South African spinners suffocated the middle order.

South Africa made a good start with both Amla and du Plessis hitting fluent half centuries. But after they fell, South Africa fell away. AB and Duminy both gave their wickets away and with their very shallow batting line up they couldn't get over the line. Succumbing to 252 all out. 3 wickets a piece for Starc, Hazlewood and the very impressive Zampa.

Unfortunately for Australia David Warner is out of the series with a broken finger.
