Hunts County Aura - Batting gloves
« on: July 02, 2016, 05:41:30 PM »

Following on from the post about the Hunts County Aura Mum's & Dad's, here are the matching gloves.

I love the grey and black colour scheme on the fingers, which is set off nicely against the rainbow colours.

(Without meaning to be controversial here) There's not a lot to say really as they're decent quality gloves, which makes them much like everything else on the market.

They have split finger so are nice and flexible out of the packet, and have a variation of puttered palms that I believe they also have on the SS whiteout gloves.

Protection levels were good from the mallet test, and I will be comfortable to wear these against anyone I play against or a bowling machine on a reasonably high speed.
The only thing I would have liked to see would be a towel backed thumb, but that's not a deal breaker when I buy gloves.

At £45 a pair these are towards the top end of the market, and both the protection and quality reflect this.

@IQ I had deliberately not mentioned the SS millennium gloves in this review for that exact reason!

Puts my "There's not a lot to say really as they're decent quality gloves, which makes them much like everything else on the market." content right into perspective though  :)

My only observation is that the harder moon style grips wear out the palms very quickly!

Luckily I use white chevrons on all my bats, so this isn't a worry for me  ;) :D
