Just Curious where you ordered from to be able to get a inch shorter blade and longer handle? Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of buying a off the shelf bat? I wouldnt think Gray Nic would just do something like that as a special order without serious price tag, care to share how much it cost you?

That's a beautiful stick. Hope they sort you out with correct specs .

They will make anything you want within reason.
Pretty sure you have the option of ordering everything from the silver upwards in custom specs.

I would think its only an off the shelf bat if you buy it off the shelf???
If you like the profile of a bat but it's not exactly to your preferred spec why wouldn't you have it tweaked?

When i placed the order the price was not going to be any more than the standard price for this bat.  Keep in mind these are $975 in stores. Pretty hard to justify charging more than that when it's simply a matter of cutting one bit shorter and the other bit longer.

A bit confused about the weights/ sizes..Apparently the XP80 is also offered in light weights....does anyone know if the dimensions are the same ?

Just checked the gray-nic catalog and it says weights start at 2lb 9.
I haven't measured the spine height on this but I'm sure it is at least 80mm. Edges are 24mm. I have seen other heavier bats at gccc and the edges on those don't look to be any larger than these.

I did have a chance to use it in a short ball machine session  on Friday. Cannot fault the response at all. Sweetspot also seems to extend very low - well below the swell. Can't wait to do a proper net session but might not get a chance before the game this weekend.

Firstly I would love to own one of these bats. Given the performance of the xxx9 gray nics and the Warner replica I have, I imagine the performance of these bats would be outstanding. However if the restriction of bat size comes into force, can someone tell me if we would still be able to use the over sized bats, if not it's a lot of money with the current exchange rate, shipping and duties/vat etc. I am already mildly annoyed that the other 2 would potentially become unusable. However it also means it is likely to be a one off opportunity to buy it...

If any restrictions do come in then its most likely it'd only be enforced at the professional level
