When i was reading threads a while ago , when trying to decide whether to buy a pair of morrants or not , I kept seeing posts asking 'does anyone know how to clean these pads' and 'these pads are a nightmare to clean' etc (these comments were also referring to other molded pads like Bas Bow 2020's etc). Now that i have a pair i fully understand why .
The other day i was netting with my morrants on and they copped a lot of dirt /mud . I felt sad because it was only the third time I've worn them .
Anyway , ive found two ways of keeping them more presentable (if anyone else wants to share what they do I'd appreciate it).
1) they have a furry/velcro like fronting which gets all sorts of crap attached to it - pet fur seems to love my pads ! I am using one of those sticky lint rollers to take care of this and so far it seems to work .
2) I took the internal padding off the pads and soaked the pads in a cold bath ( they float,  so you need to weigh them down with something ) with Nappysan stain remover/soaker ( not sure of what a u.k equivalent would be ) overnight and they came up brand new . Plus , now they smell nice !
Now that I know i can get around the cleaning issue with these pads I'm going to buy a second pair .
P.s : a while back there was a thread regarding how to increase the knee padding on morrants.  I tried a few different things , memory foam and the like . In the end i cut out the knee bolster/cup/locator section and the shin bolster section (basically all the internal padding)off a pair of g.n pads that were dying ( the fronts p.u had peeled off but the internal padding was fine ) . The knee bolsters on most pads these days have velcro to be able to adjust where the knee locator is and this attaches perfectly to the morrant material . The shin bolster padding doesnt have velcro so i added an adhesive velcro strip . Now my pads have each gained about 45gms in weight but i am comfortable using them against the bowling machine dialed up nice and high whereas before doing this i was thinking my morrants would be 'match only' pads and I'd be using my cane pads in the nets or at bowling machine practice . I now have 2 sets (and a choice) of internal padding for my pads .

^ It is good to know. I sold my brand new pair of Morrants to a friend. I didn't know that cleaning them was such an issue. I am glad I stuck with my Aero P1s, they are so easy to clean.

I came so close to buying aero p1's but the top hat looked like it doesn't angle back enough to not get in my way ( i have puma evospeed 6000's /stormtrooper pads and don't like using them anymore for this reason) .
Obviously you prefer the Aeros,  but what in particular did you prefer ? Do you have that top hat problem at all ?

Regarding your questions...

I don't know what is a top hat problem but the pads have _never_ gotten in the way of playing any kind of shot I play. In fact, they have been the least disruptive pads for stroke play of any kind. Here is why I prefer them:

- Agility - they are the lightest pads in the market for that size. I can run singles all day long
- Maneuverability - because pads wrap around and have a very thin profile, footwork becomes as easy as walking normally
- Protection - have them against Bola as well, no issues
- Maintenance - easy to clean

The only negative I have experienced is that you have to wear Aero made Strippers/thigh guard which compliments the pads. If you inside edge the ball or miss lot of balls, you need Aero Strippers. I don't wear the strippers but on two occasions this season, I inside-edged two in-swingers to my thighs, one nearly missed my knee cap (I got lucky there).
