Couple of things about Leach. Chris Rogers himself said he wasn't ready. I'd imagine that the selectors would be speaking to him. They're also mindful of how being picked early destroyed kerrigan  and also probably taking into account spinners mature later than other bowlers.

Rogers opinion I would think would have tipped them in favour of Ansari, who Alec Stewart has been raving about

Good point about Kerrigan. It's very difficult to tell anyone what a good bowler he was/ is.
