As we are VAT registered International customers do not pay the 20% tax on standard orders.
We cannot afford to take an extra 20% off on top of this. We are looking at doing specific Australasia and US sales in the future.

Do businesses get a portion of the VAT or is it passed on to the government? Sorry for my ignorance

Better to market as 'we pay your VAT' I'd suggest if that's the case. However if the reduction is based on net -20% + VAT then I don't see the issue as outside EU sales are VAT exempt. Just a personal opinion.

Correct , effectively the 20% off in the UK, we are paying the vat , but this is the normal price for overseas customers , so the voucher can be used by overseas customers but it would be the same price (rrp - 20% vat outside the EU.) no extra discounts .

In laymans terms. Overseas customers get the 20% discount all year round. So should feel very lucky indeed!

Offset by postage though and also the receiving ends money conversion rate

Correct. Any savings from the removal of the VAT is immediately lost by huge postage costs. Not so lucky.

in general . Say if u buy from Pdc you may get custom charge. Point being VAT off outside uk is nullified by shipping charges and a possible custom charge.

Anyways I'll wait for h4l outside UK discount AS of now I am super happy with my h4l ..hit 10 balls 28 in last t20 with some big sixes.
