Will happily travel if the date is right. Especially if it's the Uzi sports place in Brum.

May have got a bit snappy before, I was in the middle of roasting my Mortgage adviser and wasn't in the best of moods... Handbags at dawn indeed!

Online bullying. Wonderful. I thought better of this forum... Why don't we think about what we are saying before bashing away at the keyboard?

As most of the previous discussions centred around Coventry and it wasn't mentioned where 'Forward Drive' was I assumed it was all East Midlands based. I'm not just on one side of the city, I'm a decent journey west of Birmingham like Coventry is to the East.

Online bullying? Are you serious? I'd take your own advice about what you put, because suggesting my small joke about you not wanting to make what is a short  journey as bullying, is pretty offencive towards people that received actual online bullying.

As for the traveling distance, my work area is kettiring all the way across to Birmingham and upwards of Derby. And I'm based in Sheffield.
England is such a small country, all easily travelable within a day. Your journey really isn't that far.

I just replied while you wrote this, genuinely was making a joke, nothing serious, based on the fact I have previous with people not wanting to travel(usual southerners don't like to go north)
Hence me being tagged in the post before.

That's nothing to do with the distance, we all know better than to make the trip because it's proper grim up North...  ;)

Before this explodes, I was referring to your comment of "and a few of you to carry me to the toilet when time needs". Feel free to mock stereotypes and I'm all for banter but that was a little too close to home for reasons I won't throw up on here. So yes, that is online bullying with the implications of what you're typing. That's why I'm saying think about what you type before you type it.

As far as I'm concerned it's done and over now.

Onto trying to get some nets sorted!

Just to stir up the pot a bit more...

You may have found it hit a nerve @Mr_Orange but you have also said it's for reasons you "won't throw up on here."

With the fact you've only just said this, after the post in question, there is no way @smilley792 could have possibly known it would cause any distress, so to say it is bullying is a bit off.

The comment was misjudged if anything, but I don't think it was intended to be malicious, and now we/he are aware you don't like comments like that I'm sure there won't be any more made.

We are (mostly) a cheery bunch on here who like a bit of a joke, so I don't think it was an attack on you at all. Anyways, all water under the bridge now (I hope) so we can go back to all* being friends again  ;)

*all does not include every forum member, as some seem to like being total helmets just because they can!

My point was that I shouldn't have to declare a reason it hit a nerve at all, just think about what is being typed before it's sent. Misjudged being a better word to use, I'll give you that!

Apart form that, I couldn't agree more. I understand there was no malicious intent, and when it's merely text on screen sometimes it can come across in different ways.

As long as the water stays under the bridge and not on the cricket field!

If this were the pub I'd happily get us a round in after a slight misunderstanding.

Jeeez. A simple thread started with the aim of getting local forum members together to have a net and once again the thread has turned to trash by people feeling the need to needlessly comment. No wonder I find myself spending less time browsing/posting on here. It's become a joke.
