I like this shape massively it follows the weight even distribution principle and a theory of mine about wasted wood above a certain amount theory.

I worked on the zizi,  this is a brilliant shape and one Bellingham and Smith should be proud of.

Coverage is the gagen press of cricket bats and should be the in vogue thing

thats the first thing this bat reminded of ..your b3 zizi
long sweet spot but hard to digest the shape
hope it works out

Looks a stunning profile!

What's the pickup like?

Hmm
A lot of wood down the bottom half of the bat
Looking at those pics, I'd say it's gonna be difficult without some severe concaving to get it around 2.9ish?
And it's surely gonna pick up bottom heavy?

I'm intrigued enough to nip out and shape one now

The pickup is very good, not toe heavy at all. This bat weighs 2'8 with very little concaving.

Yeah
Just taken off about half an ounce of dead weight to match that edge shape, I've still left 25mm edges and toe
The pick up is vastly improved, quite surprising

I reckon you could have a 30mm toe and edged bat with that profile at 2.10, and it would pick up unreal.
Perfect bat?

Bout time we got away from stupid edges

And that toe up picture looks mega!

Just had a little knock up with it in the garden, very nice
I'm sold

And if they are being made by who I think they are, your onto a winner there

I'm intrigued, would love to try one but hard to get your head around how that shape would feel in the hands! Dare I say it, there's just a hint of Mongoose Cor3?

I'm surprised how much difference to the pick up its made, by slimming the edges down that way
I've always removed the weight from the spine, and as a whole across the profile, but half an ounce from edges makes a big difference to pickup

Would be interested in maybe a warbird/Toro type combo with this profile
The bat speed would be unreal through the ball and you could maybe go up a couple of ounces on dead weight
