Must be an absolute ball-ache to type as well!

Depends on if he's using his balls or his fingers.

The Trend I Have Noticed Recently Now Is For Thinner Lighter Bats With A Longer Sweet Spot..

I that why GN are bringing the David Warner shape out for next season?

I'd imagine its something to do with being a quite traditional shape with a modern twist. Possibly 50% of each?

You Are Absolutely Right And It's A Lovely Bat. But GN Have Only Released The David Warner Big Profile In Aussie This Year{Those Fearful U.K Custom Charges} The U.K Version Is Smaller From What I Can Tell. Plus This Profile Has Been Around For A While And GN Are Only Just Releasing It Officially For The Coming Season? A Bit Slow.

or that it's a bat designed for 50 over cricket as opposed to a T20 bat.

Am I the only one who saw 'fifty50' and expected some kind of big edge monster?

Depending on how long you have been playing(!!) they are still pretty thick edges...

Maybe the trend will go slightly smaller in anticipation of some new regs coming in?

I've got a pretty big edged bat now and I'll be honest I quite like it. However the edges are the weak point.

We def seem to be moved away from huge concaving back to more full profiles....

Don't really see the need for edges a lot bigger than these anyway tbf, never seems to make the ball go further off them when I use a big edged bat! Realised I may have given the wrong impression as I quite like the look of this profile, just seems an odd choice of name. Would love to see some better profile shots and hear of there's any different reasoning behind the name.

Expect youre right about smaller bats, I'm sure we'll see plenty of new shapes marketed for 'coverage' or 'extra long middle' etc in the near future. Imagine most batmakers arent sure whether to shake their head or breathe a sigh of relief at big bats getting banned!
