So I was sorting my kit out ahead of winter nets
Having owned every imaginable brand at some stage or another I have had a proper eBay sort out over the winter & sold off the stuff I don't use.
I plan on running 2 kit bags - the coffin & the standup duffle. One will live down the ground I expect.

Bats
Red - 2.9 a Spartan of unknown heritage from M&H as a refurb for £85 - sensational middle
Blue - Blankbat B Oz 2.10 lovely bat really high middle £160 from IJC
White - Custom from a friend 2.10 £150 - yet to be used in anger but feels great as I knock it in

Pads
2 x unbranded X1 pads from online stockist/eBay £45 in total

Gloves
2 x RS Plain white with pittards from cricket shed/eBay £60 in total

Helmets

1 x County had forever 1 x C&D had ages too (neither expensive)

County coffin must be 20 years old & still love it
Duck & Run duffle £25 in sale and a belter
Single thigh pad (big son has swiped my other one) as I've never really mastered "strippers"
Gray Nics pimples for batting £25 from IJC
Puma Spikes for bowling had for ages
Various club caps - the snapback is my 12 year olds

Lurking in the corner my M&H pads & gloves that I haven't yet shifted but will likely end up in a net bag.

The strategy is really plain kit so any bat will go with them & as I'm over 40 less is more in branding & colour
Finally I'm a fan of a bargain - there's something about getting a great bit of kit cheap when some local stores flog inferior stuff for a fortune to the unsuspecting

Be gentle - I'm new at this

Nice selection, my kit is subject to change depending on what tickles my fancy from the 1st batch of Eite Editions arriving early next week 😁

Will be using the sample Softs in nets once they have been used for photography and helmet, bag and spikes + Foxy thigh guards will be the same as last year.

Very impressed with the pads
Firstly they are not small (which was a worry) I am 6ft and the fit really well. I have used them at indoor nets and they are easily as good as any branded purchase, and attract a surprising amount of questions from those that would prefer plain kit.
Secondly I paid slightly more from OLS for X1 over Test for the added padding at ankle/shin - the quality of the pad has really pleasantly surprised me for the money
Finally they appear to be IDENTICAL pads to those at twice or three times the price once they have been branded, check out SF Sapphire to name but one.

Very similar to last year for me. A splurge of orange and blue SG hilite softs (I have spare set of the pads in the garage), lovely blank bats plus some blank bats gloves, my bonkers masuri lid and the spikes...
