Faulkner and Maxwell suffer in that when they could be building their first class stats they instead miss games shuffling off to some meaningless o.d.i /t20 tournament somewhere . The same applies to a lesser extent with all aussies vying for test berths ie December /January, if a test player is under pressure to retain his place , all the other options aren't playing sheild , they're playing b.b.l .
Faulkner hasn't scored enough centuries. Stoinis, as mentioned, is a bit loose , and ineffective with the ball . Maxwell almost has the game but could do with better batting temperament and a bit more fizz in his bowling . Agar , if only he can produce more good days with the ball ( like his sheild 10for the other week ) is young enough to come good but would need to produce a couple more consistent seasons though . I think if M.Marsh continues to bowl well , and if we can find a batting allrounder at 7 , then he is a decent bowling allrounder prospect for no8....but not 6 or 7 like we've tried to use him as .
Faf to front the icc re ball tampering charge this arvo.....will probably get a partial match payment fine /warning or some such .
