Just wondering if we have determined who makes the CEAT cricket bats? As used by Rohit Sharma

I notice some have become available on the market.

Heard that MRF uses three manufacturers - RNS, SS and KG. Which model comes from where not sure. Even the retailers don't have that precise info ( or they don't want give that out).
Ceat also has similar options.

For a T20 indian side

It's
ceat - rohit
Mrf - shikhar
Ceat - ajinkaya
Mrf - kohli
Spartan - dhoni
RNS - hardik
Hero - ashwin

So mainly all these non manufacturers leading the team branding.

hmmmm.............i think its a simple rule, whichever batmaker the player prefers. They just stick the sticker. player gets the bat made from their preferred batmaker and just stick the sticker. no hard and fast rule.

CEAT are quite open in the fact that they're only in cricket bats to abide by ICC regs, as they had to file a change of business - which said as much

I fully agree! In reality, MRF never wanted to make bats for bulk market but after watching Sachin bat with MRF stickers, there was a massive demand for MRF bats and eventually they had to start contracting bat manufacturers to actually produce MRF bats. The last I have seen is that now they even have MRF stamp burned on the edges as well.

So here was a company who wanted to sponsor someone from promoting their tyres eventually ended up making bats since there was that much demand!

I am not sure if MRF uses SS. Most of the MRF Genius LE bats seem to have a big profile but rather a very skinny handle. Despite adding more than 2 grips, the handle doesn't feel thick enough. Never faced this problem with SS though ...

This is a case in a lot of international team.
Most of NZ seem to be NB now, England a mix of NB and Adidas, Australia are getting NB heavy.

A few years ago I posted about whether the days of the traditional makers would be finished at the top level.
