Interesting.
I think the shape and balance in the profile looks better than GN Warner. But what did you mean when you say, they glued up two clefts to make this bat? Is this a lam?

Sadly enough, for many, it could be sour grapes because quite a few members here are aging very quickly, and picking up 2.12 bat may cause them back injury.

Surely, it will amplify the stroke when played on the front foot in V shape, but the batsman must be quick to adjust and play cross strokes, hooks, pulls, and cuts.

The bat looks pretty nice either way. And for £180, it sure is a steal.

Understatement for me!ha
Can't believe I used to use 3lb bats and now I'm down to 2.8

I'm old well 38 I can use anything from 2/8 to 3/4 depending on standard really.

haha, it was only a tease.
Glad that you took it lightly instead of a few who would take it as a matter of ego.

I think our good ole Hosk is in the same boat as ours. Used to play with heavy weighs, and now, on the look for 2.7ners with 40 mm edges and no-concaving.... aahhhh, things the game of cricket will make us yearn for.

Never had a ego mate just a simple bumkin loving kit.

I have a 2/8 42mm no concaved bat too I like it too.

I go on feel really if it feels nice it fresh to go...

Sorry, I didn't mean to relate bat size with anyone's ego.
I was only teasing our senior citizens to reject their aging factor as part of their ego.

Your bat looks pretty awesome, specially now that it's cleared up that it's not a lam.

If Chase whittles me the same kind for £180, I will buy one as a collector.

For me it also the amount of wood evenly split between the shoulders and toe which is the real key.

I love the short blade, long handle, thick edge, and not-so-high spine combination. Very solid feel when hitting balls, lot of oomph in the shots.
