No-one really near me in Surrey, which is a shame as they would probably have all my money in a very short time.

Might have to check out Mr Vantage man though - does he have a workshop you can visit or anything like that?

Redback is in teighmouth so def closest to Cornwall crowd then M&H in Taunton....prob would have been Phoenix if stu was still making his in bristol!

wonder if he's still got tools wouldn't mind giving one a bash with the right kit

Probably, they have a shop.  And there are vids on their website in a workshop...

Not sure tbh mate wellsy had one of his Phoenix bats but I had my newbery so never got hold of one to see what they were like

By the way my nearest bat maker is Solitaire but only by five miles,  so I would go off to see Dan at Vantage
