Woakes lucked out with Russell's ban. As Woakes showed against India his medium pace isn't doing to offer much.

So stokes, waokes and buttler are being allowed to miss ODI's vs Ireland to play the whole IPL. What's the point of arranging pointless ODI's then? Last year Morgan skipped them

Not really pointless given there is the champions trophy this year?

so doesn't really make sense allowing 3 players to skip the ODI's does it? whilst Roy, mills, jordan and morgan have to come back

at the risk of being called an ECB LAPDOG (!) I think they have got this right. some of the players not picked before have a chance to earn serious money, some who have played before have to come back....incl the captain, yet all are contracted to the ECB in some way.

IIRC KP wanted to miss a test series against bangla and that was one of his issues. Now there is flexibility.....is that fair...tricky I think.

the ECB have shown some flexibility before to Morgan etc and now they are showing the same

tin hat on !!! :)

Mills can't play ODIs and Jordan probably won't get selected, particularly if he's getting picked for Hyderabad at the time. Only Morgan, Roy and Billings will have to come back. Morgan because he's captain, Billings because he's not established (and I'm sure he'll jump at the opportunity to have a couple more chances to do so before everyone is fit and available). Roy didn't nessecarily need to be called back.

Does anyone else feel that billings deserves more of a game for England?
Always seems to do well when he's filling in for someone

Great little interview with tymal Mills - well deserved!

Nice read that, good luck to the lad, comes across as a down to earth kinda bloke.
