So I went for it, and pleased I did! Here's a brief review for anyone who cares, pretty happy with a couple of small negatives.
Outside:

It's obviously not a small bag, but a shade smaller than most of the recent massive offerings so a nice size in my opinion, you'll not struggle for space but if you want to take keeping gear and spare everything it might not be the best choice. Back and straps are really well padded, seriously impressed with how comfy it is to carry. Helps a lot that even fully loaded it feels very light. One small negative - the waist strap bits really aren't necessary, don't see myself ever using them so why are they there? Two mesh pockets for drinks bottles or lunch, nice touch.
Main pocket:

Plenty adequate but not massive - this is with pads, lid, batting gloves, thigh pads, box and keeping gloves - as you can see there's room to spare on top for some more gloves/whites etc but what's in there is quite snugly packed in. I can squeeze in a set of keeping pads as well, but it is a squeeze - fine for occasional keepers but probably wouldn't want to jam them in every week.
Extra pockets:

Bats - space divided up for 3 bats, pretty well padded on both sides. The dividers attach by velcro on one side - for no good reason as far as I can see as they're stitched in on the other side so can't be removed. Swallows the biggest bats I've got no problem but is a little snug around the Nemesis so might be a bit of a squeeze if you're wanting to get 3 real monsters in there.

Top pocket - not the biggest, would fit a towel (as here) or set of whites nicely, batting gloves, something like that.

Front pocket - decent size but not very deep, I've chucked some arm supports and inner gloves in there with loads of room to spare.

Side pocket - tunnels into the main section, plenty of room though so could fit plenty in here, again gloves or whites or whatever.
One confusing thing - where's the other side pocket gone?! Stock GN photos all show pockets on both sides, is this a manufacturing error and why they've been delayed so long? Isn't just mine as the IJC review shows only one too. Not the end of the world as there is enough storage elsewhere, but I'd definitely have preferred the extra pocket.

Boots pocket - excellent, loads of room and a ventilation window. Swallows a pair of size 12s no problem at all.
Verdict - lovely bag, good value when compared to most other big brand offerings. A really nice size, will take everything your average player needs and very comfy on the back. Silly waist straps removed, missing side pocket reinstated and a dedicated valuables section somewhere and it'd be almost perfect, but as it is I'm pretty happy.
