Well, you go off in the evening for one awful net in Dr Buzz's barn of doom, and all this happens!!!
This is chum-tastic, 11 of us I think, which means a very overcrowded net for the first hour then just about enough bowlers to see us through the last half-hour!!
Points of order:
A) Bring a few light snacks and drinks to keep the energy levels up (Jelly Bunnies seem a good idea!)
B) As this may be the last time we all get to meet up for a while, feel free to try and have one quick drink in the pub afterwards
C) Everyone has to buy / swap at least one piece of kit (even you Hank, I'll bring some bat tape for you!)
C) It's Easter - so fancy dress is permissible
Now - I have set targets for you all -
@petehosk - try to land 5 leggies out of 6, some sucker will get out to them (that would be me
)
@simonmay5 - try to spend more time in the nets than lurking outside of them, accosting every stranger with the phrase "wanna buy some nylons?" and flashing your brown Mac at them.
@ppccopener - play one moo shot, go on, just one dirty moo with no foot movement!
@Batbuddy99 - become a pure spinner, ditch all this seam up nonsense, eat a few pies, get fat and bowl offies
@tom line - play back 6 perfect forward-defensives in a row and inform the bowlers "you'll not get past this!!!"
@Northern monkey - do not complain about any broken part of your body, and stop whacking it everywhere - you're from the dour North, and you're as young as the woman you feel!
@hankbuddy - open the batting like a pinch-hitting colossus and show your son how to 'bloody well get on with it!'
@WalkingWicket37 - bat left-handed - go on - nothing can look weirder than you do when you are bowling
@Chalkie - bowl an in-ducker, it might swing there on Saturday, and that will make you a nasty handful
@DiscoStu - you are an unknown quantity, tell everyone that you are really good at one type of bowling, then proceed to bowl something completely different
@FattusCattus - play a shot through the leg-side with looking like you are trying to hump the square leg umpire.
