Steve Smith batting from another dimension.
Kids should start copying his technique and innovate, much better than textbook technqiues with 0 substance.

Interesting to hear farbrace say he had smith at Kent 2nd city and tried to convince him to sign for 1st city and possibly pinch him for England but his dad was adamant even at 17 he would play for Australia

It's a big problem with ECB they like you to coach the book not the player. Lost count of the amount of times I've argued with ECB regional coaches about them trying to change people's actions or techniques when they are not harmful and working but not technically correct

Woakes gets a gig. Hopefully lynn gets going in the IPL like he did in the BBL

Can't see KKR losing this one with there all round time and 2 quality spinners

glad Roy is getting a game.

what's GL's order going to be that batting line up is ridiculous - Roy, McCullum, Smith, Finch Raina, Karthik  :o

Shame they have no bowlers, better try and rack up 190+ and hope

Very quick cameo from Roy

yep will be interesting to see what happens.

i am surprised that Faulkner didn't play instead of one of the batters

on another note i think this is where Woakes will suffer playing for KKR with their traditional use of spinners upfront - he is unlikely to get a new cherry to use

GL put all their bet on overseas players to enhance batting line up - Roy, Finch, Smith, BMac. KKR just picked the biggest hitter out of big bash and this innings from Lynn is probably gonna happen like an action replay all thro this IPL.

Yes and how many players inc the ones at the top by changing there action  have coaches ruined.

You can see it

A person comes in not correct but effective then coaches think I need to justify my wage I'll tinker Jimmy cook and others had technique changed by a coach then it went all over place then they went back to natural and never looked back

Smith Gayle malinga would never have made it in English game as would not have been picked until they corrected there technique which would have ruined them

What's unorthodox about Gayle's technique exactly?

I think the 'coaches change bowlers actions and ruin them' line is overplayed and doesn't actually ring that true. Yes it happened with Jimmy, has it happened since? Finn had to change to avoid knocking the stumps over, that's not trying to make him conform to the book. Woakes made changes to his action and has prospered because of it.
