It's a cruel game at times my 5 dismissals this season run out twice  2 dodgy LBW s and stumped when my back foot spikes stuck in the pitch when sweeping and this is when I am middling most of what's being bowled.

You got to watch rams bowling tho jason

And I had the best view from straight fine leg.

Good news on the knee. I thought I had blown my posterior cruciate ligament, but after a trip to the physio yesterday it seems I have what is known as a "Bakers Cyst" at the back of my knee.  This is un-stabilizing my knee, but can be fixed with a bit of rest followed by some strengthening. Physio told be 4 weeks off, but I am looking at 2.

Jason I have one of these at the back of the knee caused by a miniscus  tear whilst bowling its a ball of fluid which comes when I over exercise  and goes with rest I asked the doctor to drain it but he refused saying it will only come back usually when you have one your stuck with it.

Really awful performance today.

We started out the season well with a good win and have now lost four on the bounce, all badly. Away to Binfield today, nine wickets fell caught in the cordon and one bowled. Eight of those were bad shots giving away wickets. I batted ten, took seven off my first three balls with proper shots, then nicked a forward defensive to slip off their off spinner. Only got five overs, for not many but no wickets, before being hauled off. Seamers got spanked all over the park, but our offie stole a couple of wickets late on as we lost by six wickets.

Im fed up with the antipathy of the club, with players turning up expecting to win despite not netting (only two of us went to nets this week), and the fact that despite the fact I'm hitting the ball well I'm stuck down the order and not getting a decent look in with the ball. Seriously considering my future at the club at present, as well as asking to drop to the seconds for a couple of weeks to get some overs and batting before the back end of the season.

Last paragraph sounds a lot like us as well, probably quite a lot of other clubs too.

Bore draw against side who won league last year. They won the toss and elected to bowl on a road...I'm sure you can work out where this is going. We got 250-5, I got 50 and another guy got a ton. Their umpire gave our best bat out run out when he was past the stumps - this wasn't their usual umpire who I think is one of the best in the league. They weren't interested and ended up 160-8, with us feeding them a good 50 or so runs. 2 plumb lbws turned down by their umpire, with my favourite being hit by low full toss in front of middle with the ump saying it hit him outside of off!

We got beat yesterday

It was a proper village game in a stunning setting
I could reel off why we lost, but there's not much point in that, would rather say, it was nice to play cricket with two cracking bunch of lads in a stunning part of the world
My kids had a cracking day watching, and even my mum had a good day watching!

Absolute shocker of a dead slow moss covered wicket tho, and I'm knackered from bowling uphill into the wind

And used the b3 bat yesterday, it went ok, not as good as the Salix I have, but not bad at all.

Another win on Saturday, to go 5 unbeaten in a row and stay top of the league. We got put in yesterday at home on a wicket i knew would just break up and great worse.

We got 241/8, i top scored with 88, really should have been 100 but i got knackered and played a lazy shot to be honest!

My new Choice really is going nicely at the moment  :) :)

We bowled the oppo out for 151, a couple of comical drops in the field which is unlike us but got there in the end.

Not a good day yesterday

We won the toss and put the opposition in on an interesting looking track.
They made 136-7, with one of our seamers taking 4 wickets. I personally went wicketless but only conceded 26 runs from 8 overs so I was fairly pleased with my bowling.

Our reply never really got going, with a needless run out and 3 of our top order getting caught at long on when we needed less than 4 RPO summing up our day.

I was down to bat at no.11, so had my pads on and rested my bat handle on top of my helmet. A wicket fell and I looked, my bat was gone! Turns out our number 10 had 'borrowed" it >:(
We ended 124-9, I managed 7* but was gutted not to get one more! I needed to hit 2 off the final ball for a batting bonus point but only managed a single  :(

A disappointing day really, after the work our bowlers put in we felt confident at the halfway stage, but the top order not applying themselves cost us a win in all honesty.

We had a tough day at the office.
80-0 then 130-3 and finally 130 ao with 5 ducks
We then dropped their one Aussie first ball & missed a stumping off their 2nd Aussie when he literally ran past one before scoring. They made us pay.
I suspect in 2nd team cricket u really need to take 15 wickets!!!

Played in the firsts again, and a win for us yesterday against a team who usually take the honours against us.

We fielded and found myself opening the bowling. Reeled off 14 overs into the wind without a break and ended up with 3 for 41 off 14 (2 bowled and 1 lbw). Once again the skipper spilled a dolly at mid off so really should have had 4 -  I guess the grief he got from us paid off as he then went on to take 3 harder catches later in the game.

They ended up all out with 154 on the board off 42, we lost 5 chasing it down in 31 overs so I didn't get to bat. A good win, securing the full allocation of points.

Ran out at the non strikers end for 8. It must be the worst way to get out. More importantly we won. Posted 153/8 on a very wet, low and slow track. they were 80-0 then crumbled to 130 all out. We remain unbeaten.

League debut for my new club yesterday. Wet, slow and low; obviously we lost the toss and batted first. Opening bowlers were 6'9 and 6'8. I opened the batting and watched in horror from the non striker's end as we crumbled to 0/3 and then 11/5. With partners coming and going more regularly than an Amsterdam window, my main aim was to hold down an end. I eventually got out in the 29th over for a hard fought 16, none of which were boundaries.

We made 136 all out and the opposition got it 6 down, largely thanks to a slogged 70 from their overseas.

It's really frustrating to play "proper cricket shots" and only get 1 or 2 due to the slow wicket, wet square and slow outfield... and then see someone hoy across the line all day for big runs!

Bowled a full allocation yesterday that went well picking up 2 wickets for 34. It's only the second time I've bowled this year and was happy to step up given the fact we were missing a couple if regular bowlers. Got 12* including a huge 6 onto the pavilion roof meant we chased 195 down with a few overs to spare
