Had a very strange game against our local rivals on Saturday. They traveled with an under strength side and were promptly inserted  to bat. Having made a steady start they went from 80-1 to 81 all out. I personally bowled 8.1ovs claiming 6-3 then opened up with 22* playing second fiddle to our other opener as we knocked them off for a 10 wicket win. On the beer by 3.30. Not bad.

Steve Arnott and the AC-12 team were called in but found no abnormalities, just a very under strength opposition. Their skipper confirmed he was surprised they got as many as they did.

That is a collapse and a half, I've heard of being under strength but to lose 9 for 1. You would think someone would get one away or fluke an edge.

 Forced to miss  this  Saturdays match woke up this morning and couldn't see as my face had swollen up pain much worse than when the helmet  grill  embedded in the nose  went to A&E face examined and xrayed diagnosed With infection to the injury which had sealed over.
Currently on pain killers and strong  antbiotics.
Given further appointment in two weeks  once swellings go down to check for any lasting damage to the nose.

I think if I'd just seen 6 get out bowled coming in at 11 I'd be asking the ump for an off stump guard please.

No, not at all, ball swinging both ways on an overcast day. They were trying to play properly was just hard work. The lower middle order consisted of juniors (13/14)  that were in their fist year of senior cricket and had only really played 3XI before this game. They had 5 players on the Thursday so the real victory was getting 11 players out on the saturday. One team has already dropped from our league as they struggled to get 11 each week and a few teams are travelling with 8 each week in the league below.

That's fair enough. It seems to be a real chore to get full teams out at the moment. The kids these days don't want to play 40-50 over games, its all about LMS or 20/20 for them which is a real shame.

So saturdays game is off, oppo can't field a side ( or more likely as they are rock bottom don't want to make the away journey to us after getting smashed earlier this season) anyway at least got until Aug before losing a game just a personal shame as currently top run scorer in our league but won't get the chance to increase that lead. Always been up there but never managed top spot mainly due to only playing every other week and this would have been only chance this season for back
