For these offers, can I assume that VAT will be taken off the final price (for international delivery)? And, what is the typical shipping cost to USA?

Look at their previous offer, VAT is not taken off.

thanks, any particular reason? and, what do they mean by "can't afford to take the VAT off"? Doesn't the VAT directly go to the government?

I don't mean to speak on @hell4leather cricket behalf and please do correct me if I'm wrong
However as I understand H4L aren't VAT registered and as such they can't claim the vat back on products going overseas, to counter this h4l normally take VAT off essentially paying it for you if you're an overseas customer however due to the rarity of the willow on these occasions, they aren't able to do this on this instance.
They may well offer it for the Grade 1 hattori stickered as a fifty50 though

From their website:
"Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK, 20% VAT is included. All other orders are VAT free."

Effectively, if not removing the VAT then international customers are paying 20% more to the company than UK customers. Sports Direct do this.

It would depend what VAT scheme you're on as there are different options depending upon levels of turnover.

Hi all

We are VAT registered, however it is about cash flow. For these 1 off bats it is beneficial to sell in the UK to avoid the wait for claiming the 20% back.

We WILL be doing international specials in the near future as there is clearly the demand. We are talking to new couriers to try and reduce international delivery. Hoping this will all be sorted over the next few weeks and will of course post any offers here first.
