A team we thought was good convincingly beat a team we knew was bad.

dont think we have learnt much to be honest. good to see bairstow get a game, Wood hopefully has no reaction and carries on(that's a massive plus)

Hales got us off to a good start as he has done in the past.

apart from that....dunno. The crowd only got half a game

I think there is a big difference between formats - in Test cricket, batsmen can pat away 2-3 good voers knowing that sooner or later some absolute dross will come along.  In the shorter forms, they have to go looking for 7 an over and errors creep in - even the absolute dross balls have potential to take wickets because batsmen try and put too much pace on to muscle them for sixes and end up caught in the deep.

He looked pretty quick when he came on to try And mop up the tail. Top edge flew for a one bouce 4!

Looked fairly easy in first spell tbh, Joyce played him well too. Second spell when he banged a few in looked a bit tasty. Edit - Tom beat me to it! Was quite impressed with Chase for Ireland, looked a bit of a prospect!
