It was a dead rubber.
They did bloody well to win the match on Saturday. No one was carping about all-out aggression in that game.

There's going hard and 'power hitting',  having attacking intent and playing your shots and then there's just being out and out silly. As a pro they should know that they cannot go in when we are 4 down and play a languishing drive in their first over having no real idea what the all is doing or the pitch for that matter.

or worse, watching all your mates snick off and thinking you can play the same shot and get away with it?!  :D

To be fair, Morgan's whole 'shoot the lights out' mentality is what's got England scoring 320+ regularly, but will inevitably lead at least occasionally to them getting shot out for not many. Easy to moan when it does happen, but without the whole batting lineup going aggressive in a big way they wouldn't be scoring as many as they usually do. Be happy about the big scores and suck it up when it goes wrong is their attitude I think, happy to take that point of view as a fan also! Otherwise bring Trott and Cook back, we'll never get bowled out for 150 but we won't be making 350+ too often either.

Yeah fair enough we score runs regularly but the key is consistency - you don't see the New Zealand rugby side being like we play attacking rugby so it's okay if we lose 1 in 10 games - absolutely not. At a professional level there still has to be some form of sense. Nothing should be robotic. It's not like 'we've been given this game plan we must stick to it religiously' they are all capable of thinking "damn our attacking cricket is backfiring let's reign it in a touch and rebuild and then go again". I just think if we are intent on becoming the best side in the world then "accepting the risk of getting rolled" is not a good enough mentality

Looking forward to the Test series. Should be good. No Steyn is a shame though.
