Yeah, not a negative just an observation. I think if they did have a big bat option they might sell a few.

Sorry, post wasn't clear. Two points, 1) It is fake, 2) This is the shady CX guy as far as I am aware, certainly sells a lot of CX

Fair enough, i gathered it was fake, that part was the obvious haha

is the new Flare very different from the old Flare? seems like the 2017 version has a much flatter face, and much bigger edges?

Ive never been fussed about huge edges on my bats. One of the main reasons i like gm so much is that they usually focus on distributing the weight on the edges which in return give the bats bigger shoulders which is a big plus in my books.

Just curious - why would you want big shoulders ?

GM seem to make smaller bats than other makers, definitely in edge size. I haven't seen a huge light GM before when perusing the stands or looking at photos. Id be keen to proved wrong and see a huge light GM as per some Kookaburra and GN's.
I've seen and once used a bloody huge GM, Icon+ I think the range was a few years back? They were all big and the one I used was a glorious bat to boot.

I play cricket in country australia so i get a lot of short stuff. So i just like to have a bit of wood in the shoulders of my bats so i dont get cracks as easy. Pitches that are as hard as concrete aint fun haha.

I presume they way they manufacture their bats prevents this (outside the aforementioned + models). Don't they just CNC then all to the same shape (for each model) and the weight is only decided by the density. I.e. they are all the same size?

Yeah that's usually right as far as I know, but they did do one model of biguns for a short while so they can make them if I fancy it. Guess they must not have sold well and that's why they stopped the range, certainly never seen many. I'm sure someone had one on the forum not too long ago, @uknsaunders maybe?

Ive seen a few Pros GMs now and they are all very big (40+ edges, full profile and very thick shoulders), so they can make them I have just never seen a big GM in a shop or with a normal punter.
I did see however on an old GCCC youtube video that they stocked the Maestro which looked pretty big.

I would've though over the last couple of years they would've done very well selling a "larger" sized model.

All they need is a Chris Lynn type to use a GM Lynn player edition last couple of years and then sit back and collect peoples money.

Love my GM Chrome been a stunner in T20 this year and replacing my UK made GN in kit bag this weekend. In terms of size mine isn't far off being what I call a "big bat i.e. 40mm edges) think it's 37mm and fairly full. Certainly goes very very well.

The + model was approx 5mm bigger on the edges and spine. It was a chunky bat but not huge at 35mm edges and 67mm spine with some concaving. This was before the flat faces came in and 35-40mm edges were more common.

Interestingly, I saw a GM Neon recently that was Ind made (for Ind market ofcourse) and it was full length and shape wasn't anywhere close to UK GM neon. It also had quite thick edges than normally seen in UK made ones. I am guessing even mana and kaha are full length for Ind made ones and shapes are different to their UK equivalents. Maybe Indian market hasnt really got on with the short blade bats.
