Have you guys considered the possibility that he might have actually used a CA in the final? :D

I think I saw a bow in his bat. :D

B3 have been around for 5 years but how many years have Newbery, Hunts and Millichamp been around?

They have all made bats for top players. They have all had to watch other brands, with much deeper pockets, burn through their marketing budgets to have pros use their brand on TV.

On a similar note, you have to ask yourself if people genuinely think that, for example, NB (A shoe retailer) and MRF (A tyre manufacturer) make their bats.

If people are naive enough, let them carry on. We know better... fortunately!

I'm more concerned about the kids that 'have to have x bat, like their favourite star', when his bats aren't made by his sponsor.
Paying money for a an ill represent product, just to pay off big sponsorship deals is wrong in my books.

Whatever happened to 'If you bought the bat as Brand X, then it is a Brand X bat.'

I reckon if B3 want the glory of an international scoring big with their equipment then they should sponsor him. CA are paying his bills so I think we should respect that.

If CA are paying the bills, they should produce a product that the player wants to use. If your gear is s*#& and the player feels the need to go somewhere else, fair game for that company that actually produces the goods to claim ownership of their product.

Or you can look at like this : bat is a blank canvas . Batmaker/sponsor can provide the canvas and the advertising,  or the sponsor can just provide the advertising and the player can source their own canvas .
Cars are 'stickered up' , so are tvs , computers , so many things these days . No one ever really complains that brand x tv has a samsung panel , or the rolls royce is just a stickered up beemer .
Re the little kid who wants a bat the same as his favourite player -a) parent buys best bat they can afford to get the kid irrespective of whether the kid likes the brand/stickers, b) parent buys the best performing bat with the right stickers on them( ultimately,  the kid would be happy with this outcome , even if the player actually uses something else) , c) parent says 'stuff it , you can use this bat i had back in 1972 when i was your age' .  :D :(

With cricket bats being made from Willow a great natural product cricketers will always be looking for the stick that they feel most confident with.
Unlike golf clubs or darts which are machine made to very small tolerances where a manufacturer can truly replicate what a player is after time after time.

And from Fakhar's point of view- he has just broken his fav bat in the nets and a new CA may take a few days to get delivered from his CA batmaker. Or as he in the area goes and sees B3 (or any other UK batmaker) and walks out with some new sticks there and then.

Finally, I'm sure @The Doctor and the B3 boys are not naive to think that it doesn't happen them too- A B3 sponsored player using another brand's bat stickered as one of theirs.
