I liked my
first RS bat so much that I decided to place another order within a few days of receiving my first bat but this time 2 bats. 1) Virat Kholi profile; same one as my previous bat 2) Players/Bazooka profile. Both the bats are stunning and adorable in every possible way - balance, finish, and the performance. Since last year, I have bought more than 15 bats but only a very few times have I felt very content within a few seconds of using any of those bats.
I will post a review of my new VK profile sometime next week.
Profile: Bazooka / Gun / Players profile
Weight: 2 lbs 10.5 oz (Feels very light; I'd say 2/9)
Grains: 11-12
Edge: 42 mm
Toe: 25 mm
Spine: 63-65 mm
Handle: Oval
Concaving: Moderate to Slightly high
Ping: Really, Really good.
Very clean face except that slight blemish at the top. Out of the 2 new bats, this bat in particular had very sharp edges when it arrived.
Key differences compared to my first VK profile are
1) Oval handle vs. round handle
2) 2 lbs 10.5 oz vs. 2 lbs 9.5 oz
3) Thick edges and toe
4) High spine
5) Very light pick up.
6) Black stickers vs. Blue (and, black bat cover). I was very surprised with (relatively) a simplistic design this time (less logos, no permanent edge markers).
Overall, very pleased with this bat. Can't have asked for anything more.
I think, I will purchase my bats only from RS going forward - except, maybe, this one last time - waiting for my BDM, B3 and GN to arrive. :-). Funny and sad thing is that I am not a good player, I shouldn't need more than one or two bats.
