If you've seen his bats in games (wood falling off, tape coming off, etc) you'll see he doesn't care much for looks. This bat was soft too, it was not more than a couple of nets old and it was cracking up all over the place.

Assume he doesn't knock them in......but it could be down to the 80mph  balls he is facing compared to my 60 mph lol

The Blaze shape (designed by and I believe exclusively used by Jos Buttler) is a fantastic shape for English pitches. I has a lowish middle and picks up beautifully. Im not a big hitter but I have been able to hit the ball very hard with minimum effort. Even with a cracked handle I was able to hit 62 with it which included 9 fours so I would recommend the Kookaburra Blaze

No Quinton. You're wrong.

Otherwise, why would they call it "Pro willow"?

Duh...

If I only dealt with G1++ pro/plus/player editions that are big and weigh a feather, then i would feel the same too  :D

Pros can have the attitude 'a bats just a bat' because what they will be given will ping regardless.

I bet they get some duds every now and then and just send them back or don't side them. Especially if they are mass produced.
However, all their bats in their kit bags will be amazing.

That is a ridiculous statement!!! The "wood" he is getting is the top of the line, ping-iest wood. This is like millionaires saying money isn't everything in life.

I had a long chat with someone in NZ who happens to repair Kane Williamson's bats. He also told me about GM bats for another NZ (famous) player. In a nutshell, he returns bats (every single one in the batch sent to him) if one of them is off or needs adjustment. Then, this guy gets another lot of bats which he tries and suggest tweaks. Cycle continues until bats are made just right for his needs. With every cycle, the bats sent to him are basically the full lot (15-20 bats).

Quinton may be a very simple batsman who grabs whatever is sent to him by GM but I bet he is STILL getting the ping-iest, top of the line "wood".

The duds end up on here as a "pro bat", this bat belonged to international cricketer "insert name here". I'm so lucky to have a contact who got me this "pro bat".  :o

Any decent bat will stay in the players bags, duds are sent back or given away.

Supposed pro player bats ping from toe to stickers.
Having 30+ bats with a couple supposedly being pro bats has shown me the in my own opinion differences between a pro one and non pro one...

The weight/pickup/balance and the rebound/ping/sound is very much different compared to a generic version of the same stickered bat...

They ping everywhere and the sound/feel of the ball rebounding not on the middle feels the same as some bats sweetspots' if you get what I mean... You probably have to hold the 2 bats and compare to actually get what I'm getting aty
