Define 'homegrown'. I will say Ansari as anyone would but expect some nonsense answer on a technicality.

As for Sibley he's deluded if he thinks we can bat top 3. Fair play to Stewie for sticking it out with him, shouldn't and won't be bullied.

FYI him and Clarke are moving now. Absolutely fine with me, would rather have a bloke who wants to play than a bloke who's trying to bully where he wants to be...

Is he? Why? You know something Ashley Giles doesn't?

It would only take one 1000 run season and everyone on here will have him in their Test team.

I thought the Clarke move had been discussed already. A good signing, I reckon, regardless of the Sibley situation.

I wonder if he might be in line for the captaincy, if Batty chooses to retire?

Played against time twice and oh my good is he good, if he has been promised No3 role in all formats don't blame him, no doubt he has International ambition and must feel that his best opportunity is top order more often than he gets with Surry espically with Stonemam joining. Only early 20's so why not

Will he get another game for Surrey this season? He hasn't been named in the squad for the t20.Yet another promising young player slips through Surrey's fingers.

He didn't slip through, he was given a more than decent contract offer, hes played 7+ CC games, all our T20s and 4 one day games. He decided that he could dictate that he had to bat in top 3 for all forms of the game off the back of one double ton 4 years ago and a ton this season in a pre-season friendly vs Oxford Uni.
Surrey are gutted he's gone, see what Stewie and MdV have said publicly, but wont allow someone who has nothing but potential to back himself dictate where he bats.
Not even in club cricket would you allow a bloke to say ill only play if you guarantee i bat 3 every week regardless of how well i play.
