Rehandle and refurb needed
« on: August 21, 2017, 06:31:11 PM »

Right, I have a glorious GN Nemesis, but it's got a crap skinny round handle in it and I'm fed up of it, needs a proper thick oval. As much as I'd like to keep the stickers, I'm not convinced GN would get it done how I want, so  I can anybody recommend, or forum sponsors provide, a rehandle service with a nice thick oval handle? Plus a refurb while it's there. Handle shape is key so need someone I can trust to put what I want in.

Cheers Pete and Cam, @edge happy to do this for you if interested.
Is your team mates handle still holding up Pete?  Never know how well it will last when the shoulder cracks were as bad as that, hopefully he got some more runs out of it

I've got a few bats lined up that at the end of the season will be heading Tom's way.

Hi Tom - I know the cracks both sides of the handle were dodgy but it has lasted all season which is what he was praying for.
He has just purchased a LB bat off me which he will use next season so he was very happy that you did such a good job mate! He was originally in doubt as the damage around the handle wasn't great. But you converted him.

That's top news mate; glad he managed to get a whole season out of it, as you say those shoulder cracks down both sides did look a bit touch and go but plenty of glue sounds like it kept them together, good to hear. And I'm sure the new bat you've sorted him will be a stunner

It's a naughty question, but how many runs has he got?

I assume you are asking about my mate? He is 1st XI top order batsman - normally bats at 3.
So he can bat and I think one of the issues is that he is 6'3 and stocky, and hits the ball very hard! So I don't think he was optimistic and trusting of the shoulders of his bat anymore. To be fair he has just purchased a LB from me as I had a couple spare. His repaired Kook is lasting way beyond his expectation...but he will possibly use it in the nets and save the newer bat for matches.
