Gooch used a Turbo.

I have decided to move away from my experiment of using bats with a high middle, back to a mid middle. As the only bat I have with a mid middle is my trusty GN Dynadrive from 1995 (still got a great pick up and ping). This was bought from Bill Edwards' sports shop in Swansea, a remarkable shop, run by an amazing man (Which has prompted me to start a new thread about him). As this decision has come after my last match of the season, this is only theoretical  -I suspect I shall be acquiring a new bat before next April.

PS. My pads are from a visit to VKS in 1992 , still lightweight and going strong, will post a picture with the matching gloves when I get a chance (I have largely been out of playing for 17 years, but am now back as family life has eased).

I have used a Salix Falx for the past 3 or so seasons that is probably 7 years old.

@GeorgeB93 scored a 100 a few weeks ago with a 3lb Bayonet from the 90's.

My match bat is a Talisman Storm that I bought in 2011. Still going strong, mostly because I don't stay long enough to use it much :)

Up until a few seasons ago i used my dads GN Powerspot - bought in 1984 and scored a boatload of runs....until i got hold of it and cracked it inside of 2 seasons.

Still have it in the garage and probably the best bat i've ever used, hoping my new Aldred is better though!!

Can grab pics if anyone wants them - the powerspot used to get sent back to GN every season for refurb, used to come back looking like new!

I still use my 2004/2005 Kahuna occasionally; nipped a cheeky 50* with it first game of last season....old school traditional shape with no concaving and small edges, before they went all macho! Were they anything to do with Rob Pack by any chance, only it looks really similar to some of the Puma bats of around that time that I believe he was involved with?

Proper bats these mate. How does the XB300 compare @Seniorplayer
