Club Ties
« on: October 02, 2017, 03:31:26 PM »

Hi all.

Just a bit of market research....

We will be offering a range of club ties for 2018. These will include custom designs, colours and logo embroidery, all in 100% silk with budget options available. These will be of the very highest quality through a well established UK partner.

Couple of questions:
A. Does your club have a club tie?
B. If not would this be of interest?
C. What would you pay for a 100% silk club tie?

Any thoughts / suggestions welcome. I will have the first samples for a local club soon and will post here asap.

just ordered 50 club ties that worked out at about £8 each

there would be no demand at our club for a premium product that would work out at more than £10 per tie

minimum orders are an issue, big outlay and expense to absorb without the guarantee of shifting them

My club doesn't have a tie, but it would be something we'd look at. Yes, would be interested. Assume there would be a minimum order, etc. I guess perhaps younger players may not be that interested, but cricket ties are very traditional - my lad got a league tie when he played for the rep side against the MCC this year and all the players looked very smart too.

Younger players would be more interested in them if they were skinny ties or certainly skinnier, thick ties would not sell amongst those under 30 or not in any real number

We haven’t got one but would be interested pending price like others have said, with all the other club kit I think £10-£15 would be the max players would pay.

@H4Ladam we are very local to you (ashford town cc) and don’t have a club tie. We’d be interested in seeing the samples

Thanks for the response. @iand123 - I think the demand locally is quite high. Should have within 2 weeks and will post images.
Style, the manufacturer can do standard, skinny, knitted, bow, pocket squares and even cravats.

Thanks again.
