On the prices, the facility isn't really targeting on off nets they are looking for block bookings and there are significant discounts for regulars.
You also have to accept that it is in pretty much the most affluent part of the country.

Pitch vision price is fair and up there with lords.

In theory I shall be giving them a bit of a run out on Friday, at the invitation of the Stig and a couple of his friends.

I'll give you the viewpoint of a 'proppa' batsman after I have played and missed at a few!

Really fun session this morning.
Fattus was working on head position and shape through the shot, while I was working on playing off the back foot from both slow and quick bowling.

Merlin is lots of fun to face and a real challenge.

I should say the two coaches are brilliant, Keith Medlycott is pretty well known but the number two Simon Sweeney is also brilliant.

Also I can get 25% off the prices from now until Christmas if people want a small meet.

Great place - although with what they've spent on it, it should be!  Spacious, well-lit and it even smells new!

Coach Simon was excellent, kept things really simple (which normally is best for me!) and focused on small adjustments.

Merlin is a right larf! I had it set on some reasonably tweaky off-spinners on a bit of a tricky length, and soon worked out that I only had a couple of shot options. One was the doughty block, and the other was to skip down the track and batter him over the top, which I managed with mixed success - lets just say that long-on was kept fairly busy.

I put the sweep away after the first one I tried, I top-edged miles in the air and it came down and landed on top of my lid!

Such fun!

The groans from Brucie on the Merlin were pretty funny from the adjacent net.
No TrueMan yet, although they are looking into it.

It was great to get some really high quality practicing in and to learn a bit.
